Merry Christmas and welcome to day 4 of Blogmas!
(As this is a scheduled post, I’ve planned this one beforehand)
As tradition goes in my family, every year brings a festive-style jumper to be worn on Christmas Day, and with that brings a makeup look that has to go with it (be that the beauty obsessive within). As I usually pick mine out beforehand, I know that mine is a Primark number this year; a fluffy one with a minty green colour and metallic gold spots. Pretty cute actually, and not so much on the novelty side as far as Christmas jumpers go.
Welcome to day 2 of the Blogmas week festivities!
Today’s post is all about a certain lip shade I can’t seem to stop wearing; the berry lip. I know I wrote an entire blog post recently sharing my favourites, but these products are my new and ultimate addiction right now.
For me, trying to find the right mascara has never been the simplest of tasks. I’ve gone year after year sticking to the brands I know that will do the job, but never being able to find that ‘perfect’ one. I was wowed by Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara, however I wasn’t wowed by the £19.50 price tag. I don’t mind owning the miniature version and using it for a special occasion, but I still can’t justify using the real thing on a daily basis. I’ve been looking for something more price-friendly, and have been trying out Max Factor’s False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara.
Time for a more different post than usual! Now I wouldn’t ever want to be stuck on a desert island but if I was unlucky enough, the one makeup item I would need with me would be my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I’d attempt to rock the ‘natural’ look, sacking off the mascara, my beloved eyebrow filler and get covering up those dark circles! It would also give my face good enough coverage to feel comfortable without foundation. It’s by far the best concealer I’ve ever tried, and for less than a fiver it’s a bargain.
As far as skincare goes, I don’t think I could ever part with my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (Now reformulated as Effaclar Duo+). It can be doubled up as a moisturiser and treatment for minimising and correcting pores; it even helps pesky spots go away!
I asked a few girls what products they couldn’t live without…
