I have to admit; up until last year I was one of those anti-anything-soppy in the slightest kind of people… so for me, V Day had to be up there with my love for Mondays… *insert eye roll here*. A year ago a decent man came into my life and since then, I’ve become a little bit more lovey-dovey.
While last year’s Valentine’s was spent in the lovely city of Edinburgh, this year’s plans are a bit more low key. A day date is on the cards, followed by a few drinks out-out later.
Today I’m sharing a few of the essentials I’ll be wearing this V-Day.
The Day
I spotted this adorable top in Zara last weekend. With its cute cut-out shoulders and open back, this floaty number is my choice for the day’s activities. Shoes-wise, I’ll be wearing these knee-length tan boots that I found in New Look for a bargainous £17. The nails will be a classic phone box red; I’ve picked Angele Paris‘ from my January Glossybox.
The Night
This cute bow-shaped bottle is a gift I received for Christmas. Viktor & Rolf’s Bonbon is a not-so-sickeningly-sweet perfume with notes of Orange, Caramel and Sandalwood. Bonbon is the perfect scent to take me from day to night. I got my hands on this dress by Ginger Fizz (once it arrived from ASOS) for £22; yes, another bargain! What’s more cliché than a red dress on Valentine’s Day? Well, why not eh. It’s the first item I’ve owned that’s red, and I find it pretty flattering. It may be the first of many to come…
Finally, a new product in my life that I can’t get enough of; Soap & Glory’s Peach Party. My new choice of blush and highlight, this colour brick swirls into a gorgeous peachy shade resemblant of NARS’ Orgasm.
So these are my picks for V-Day! Single or taken, what will you be up to this Feb 14th?
