The Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette came out in December and while I’ve never succumbed to buying any of the Naked palettes I’ve always been on the lookout for dupes (as always). Even though I haven’t found anything exact, I did come across the Oh So Special palette while browsing the Sleek section in Superdrug. The Naked 3 palette made me swoon over soft and dusky pink eye shadows, and on an average day I’ve always been a neutral kind of gal when it comes to my eyes. However this palette gave me the urge to go for something out of my comfort zone.

I admit, back when I was little and first discovering make-up I would use my mum’s blue Avon eye shadows and not have a clue what I was doing. Then in my teens I got a little over creative with Barry M Dazzle Dusts and it’s pretty embarrassing to think what I looked like when I walked out of the house.

The Oh So Special palette definitely has more wearable shades than my previous choices. I’ve not had it very long but I’m already loving it; my bias was pretty inevitable as I already own the Storm and the Au Naturel palette and the pigments are such amazing quality, so much so I’ve hit pan on both of them. Before I start rambling about those, back to the Oh So Special; there’s a perfect balance of matte and shimmery shadows. I like combining the beiges and paler browns with the peachy pinks for a day look; at the moment I’ve been wearing Ribbon, Organza and Gift Basket. I also love to create a smokey eye look with Wrapped Up, Celebrate and Noir. And, since dying my hair darker I’ve been using Boxed as a brow filler.

To top off my adoration for this palette, the fact that you can get so many different looks from it makes it perfect for travel; therefore you don’t need to take a hefty amount of eye shadows with you.

And, for only £7.99 its a fraction of the price of the Naked 3 palette, which is currently a hefty £37 and definitely not in my student budget!
